How are your garments made?
Each Second Verse piece begins with carefully sourced vintage or reclaimed textiles. These materials are thoughtfully cleaned and, when needed, naturally dyed to refresh or transform their colour.
From there, I deconstruct the original garment or textile, study the fabric, and design a new piece that works with its character. I develop a pattern, then cut and sew each garment in my London, Ontario studio.
The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that carries both its history and a new life forward.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
As a small business creating one of a kind, upcycled garments, we do not offer traditional returns. However, we are happy to offer store credit or an exchange for another item on unworn pieces within 14 days of your delivery date.
To be eligible for an exchange or store credit, your item must be unworn, unused, and in the same condition that you received it. Please note that the customer is responsible for covering the shipping charges for returning the item to us.
To initiate a change, please contact us at secondversecustomerservice@gmail.com and we will guide you through the exchange process and provide the necessary instructions. Once your item is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm the exchange and get your replacement item sent out as soon as possible
WARRANTY FOR DAMAGED ITEMS
We offer a 30-day warranty for items that arrived damaged or with a production defect. If your items has a quality issue, please contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos of the damage so we can assist you as quickly as possible. Approved warranty claims may qualify for repair, replacement, or exchange depending on the situation.
Please take a moment to review measurements and the item(s) carefully before placing your order. Each item has lived a previous life, and with that comes a touch of character, and small imperfections or signs of wear that are part of their story. Embrace the beauty of these vintage, reclaimed materials. Perfection isn’t the goal, authenticity and sustainability is.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Second Verse Gift Cards do no expire. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced. Gift cards can only be redeemed toward purchases at Second Verse Apparel.
What if my item doesn’t fit?
Each garment is designed with unique materials, so sizing can vary. Detailed measurements are provided for every piece to help you find the right fit. If you’re unsure, I’m always available to guide you prior to purchase.
Do you offer custom orders or alterations?
Select custom projects may be available depending on materials and schedule. Minor alterations may also be possible. Please contact me directly to discuss your ideas.
How long will it take to ship my order?
Ready-to-wear items typically ship within 3–5 business days from my London, Ontario studio. You’ll receive a confirmation and tracking information once your order is on its way.
Do you ship internationally?
No, not at this time. However, if you email with what you are interested in, we can determine the possibility of shipping to you.
What are your shipping costs?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. I aim to use reliable carriers and sustainable packaging whenever possible.
How are your garments made?
Each Second Verse piece is thoughtfully created from upcycled, vintage, or reclaimed textiles. This means every garment carries its own history, and slight imperfections are part of its character and charm.
How should I care for my garment?
To extend the life of your piece, gentle care is recommended. Most garments can be hand washed or machine washed on delicate and hung to dry. Specific care instructions will be included with your item.
Can I reserve an item?
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of each piece, items are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be held without purchase.
Do you take textile donations?
Yes. Giving new life to old textiles is what we do. Email me with photos of the items and we can arrange the shipping
